Members’ Day

Our Members’ Day event took place on Monday, May 26th, at the “Faros” Hall of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

Prior to the main event, the President and Board of Governors welcomed 150 new members in a special ceremony.

The evening was moderated by General Secretary Christos Timagenis, and featured welcome remarks by our President Costis Frangoulis, the President of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, George Alexandratos and the Deputy Minister of Shipping, Stefanos Gkikas.

Keynote speaker Mr. Simeon Palios, Chairman of Diana Shipping, delivered a moving speech titled: “The Evolution of Greek Shipping.”

As part of the event, Mr. Palios was presented with the Club’s Honorary Membership.

The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce was also honored for its long-standing contribution to the Greek economy and society, with the award received by its President, Mr. Nikolaos Bakatselos.

The evening concluded with a cocktail reception.
