Irene Notias holds a BBA degree in International Management (and minors in Marketing & Political Science) from Pace University, NYC, 1980. Later, she studied Human Relations at Brooklyn College’s Master’s Psychology Program, while running a wholesale & retail business she founded in 1988.

She has held several Administrative posts for Executives at Bear Stearns, IBM, Nichiman America, Independence Maritime, Cyprus Children’s Fund in the Cyprus Embassy.

Irene has served on several Boards as a University Student Senator, Vice President Greek Orthodox Youth Association (GOYA), Maid of Athena, AHEPA NY chapter, the youngest femail elected to the Parish Counsel of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, The Athens Alzheimer’s & Related Disorders Association, The Kardamylian Foundation, VP WISTA Hellas and recently the U.S. Propeller Club-port of Piraeus, as Governor.

Irene has founded and manages the NPO, PROJECT CONNECT in 2015 which has introduced and manages the Adopt a Ship educational program in Greece.

She runs an established marine fuels broker company she had founded since 2002, Prime Petroleum Services, Inc. which is now called Prime’s Bunkersplus.

Irene believes in community service as a way of life. She returned to her roots from New York to Athens in 1999 to fulfill a dream of helping make Greece great again.
