Dimitris Vranopoulos

MARINE PLUS , CEO

Dimitris Vranopoulos was born in Athens, in 1958. He spent his childhood in the USA as the son of a diplomat. After that, he graduated the American College of Mexico being first at his class. He then did undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics in Investment Planning and cost benefit analysis.

He worked in the Latsis Group from 1982 until 1988, passing various positions and ending in the position of Managing Director at SETE (Central Office of Procurement for the Group).
In 1988, he established Marine Plus SA, main business of which was the handling of vessels’ spare parts, marine equipment and shipyard representation. Over time, the range of services expanded to also include newbuilding brokerage, underwater repairs and safety items (LSA/FFE).

Since the Company’s establishment until today, MARINE PLUS has built a strong reputation among the major newbuilding and repair Shipyard’s in China and globally, as well as among the Greek Shipping community, as a reliable provider of high-quality maritime services.
