George Kallianis
KALLIANIS BROS SHIPPING S.A., CEO
George holds a BEng in Marine Technology with Honours in Naval Architecture and MSc in Marine Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. He is a shipping professional with more than 20 years experience in various positions in shipping management companies.
He is the Special Secretary of HELMEPA and Governor of The International Propeller Club – Port of Piraeus. He is a Fellow Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and SNAME. He is married and has four daughters.
His interests include the new fuels implementation towards 2050 IMO framework, environmental issues and sustainability in shipping.
Propeller Club’s philanthropic, social responsibility and new generation programs are of key interest hence willing to actively contribute to the Club’s causes by participating to the Board of Governors.
