VENLYS MARITIME SPECIALISATION SERVICES, FOUNDER/MANAGING DIRECTOR
Katerina Skourtanioti is one of the founders and the Managing Director of VENLYS Maritime Specialisation Services.
She is a graduate of Athens University of Economics and Business Administration and she continued her studies abroad. She holds an MBA and she has also a master in Human Recourses Management from Athens University of Economics and Business Administration, in which she developed expertise regarding the Human Performance and the Human Element.
In 2009, she entered the shipping industry, which according to Katerina it was ‘love at first sight’. She began developing strategies for the maritime for human element and other safety culture aspects, with the help and insights of worldwide recognized and scholar experts in safety culture, the Human Element and Human performance.
She has participated, as a speaker, in various international conferences with topics relevant to safety and human element and also she has published articles related to shipping and training, in various shipping magazines and sites.
She is a member of the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) and a member of The International Propeller Club of the United States, International Port of Piraeus.
Katerina is committed to the implementation of safety intelligence in the maritime industry and the enhancement of the safety concept for safe working environment(s). She is a proud mother of 2 boys.
