Philip Nielsen

Philip Uhrskov Nielsen is a multilingual and multicultural European entrepreneur. Born in Denmark, educated in England living in Greece. He holds a postgraduate business degree in Marketing Management from Bristol Polytechnic. He has over 25 years of experience in enterprise sales of innovative technology solutions across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. For the last 15 years he is passionately working in the Maritime sector. He is the Co-founder of Oriani Hellas, a Greek company that specializes in Maritime Digital Transformation, by representing and producing highly innovative digital platforms. Aiming to assist global shipping companies unlock their full potential by using efficiently big data and user-friendly analytics. Until recently he was also the European General Manager of a leading technology maritime start-up from Israel, regarding collision avoidance using AI.

Philip Nielsen believes that bridging traditional seamanship with big data will create huge values and efficiencies for the maritime industry. He also thinks that it is important to promote Greek Shipping both within Greece but also globally. For the period 2022-23 he was elected in the Audit Committee of the Propeller Club. Philip is married and a father of two boys. He speaks Greek, English, Danish and French.
