Dear Members,
We invite you to attend the Regular General Assembly of the members of the Propeller Club of the United States of America, Port of Piraeus, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Faros Hall at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Kallithea.
In the event that a quorum is not reached (which is usually the case), the Regular General Assembly will be held at the same venue, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 6:00 p.m., without sending a new invitation.
It is noted that, in accordance with the relevant decision of the Board of Governors, for those members who wish to do so, there will be the possibility of participating in the Regular General Assembly also remotely, through real-time teleconference, using the Eventora and Zoom online platforms and/or any other video conference platforms, ensuring the identity of the individuals entitled to participate and the confidentiality of the voting.
Further information about the procedure of electronic (remote) participation in the General Assembly will be provided in due course via email, along with the names of the candidates for the new Board of Governors, and will be posted on the Propeller Club website.
In order to be eligible to vote, it is required that members be in good financial standing with the Club (including the year 2023). Those who wish to inquire about any outstanding payments can contact the Secretariat of the Club.
Additionally, each member has the capacity to represent, by presenting the appropriate authorization (see attachment), one (1) additional financially up-to-date member.
The items on the agenda are the following:
A) Submission for approval:
a) The report of activities of the Board of Governors;
b) The financial report of the past two years, accompanied by the report of the Audit Committee;
c) The budget for the next management period.
B) Discharge of the members of the Board of Governors from any responsibility for the past term.
C) Amendment of articles 1, 3–9, 11, 13–16, and 18 of the Club’s Statute. Kindly find attached the proposed draft of the amended Statute, along with the proposals for amendment received by the General Secretary. The main provisions that have been suggested for changes are indicated with gray shading (see attachment).
D) Conducting Elections for the new Board of Governors of the Club and the members of the Audit Committee.
Members who wish to run up for election to the Board of Governors, are kindly requested to send their relevant application (see attached), accompanied by a brief bio/CV (up to 150 words) and a photograph, via email to the President of the Board of Governors, Costis Frangoulis, to the email address of the Club, secretariat@propellerclub.gr, with cc to the President: cjf@franman.gr and the General Secretary, Danae Bezantakou: ddb@navigatorltd.gr, by Friday, August 18, 2023.
