Spyros Vougious
ALBA GRADUATE BUSINESS SCHOOL, DIRECTOR OF SHIPPING PROGRAMS
Spyros Vougious is Director of Shipping Programs at Alba Graduate Business School and founder of the MSc in Shipping Management, one of the school’s flagship postgraduate programs, established in 2013. With extensive experience in the design, development, and management of shipping education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, he has played a significant role in strengthening the connection between Academia and the Maritime industry.
He has developed strong collaborations with leading international universities and maintains close ties with the Greek and global shipping communities. As coordinator of Alba’s Shipping Business Advisory Committee, he actively promotes industry engagement through strategic partnerships, international study visits, and professional development initiatives. He has also hosted the International Maritime Statistics Forum in Greece.
Spyros holds an MSc in International Shipping & Transport from Cardiff Business School and a BSc in Transport & Shipping from London Guildhall University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), a prestigious leadership development program for emerging international leaders. His international perspective is further enriched by extensive experience across Europe and active participation in academic networks dedicated to transport and maritime education.
