Business Luncheon with Keynote Speaker Dimitris Avramopoulos

Another Business Luncheon was successfully hosted at the Yacht Club of Greece, on Friday April 3rd, this time welcoming former European Commissioner, and Member of the Hellenic Parliament, Dimitris Avramopoulos as our keynote speaker, addressing the topic “Shipping and Geopolitics: From Maritime Security to International Stability”.

Our speaker highlighted the need to redefine the relationship between shipping and foreign policy, emphasizing that Greek shipping should be placed at the core of the country’s national strategy. He also underlined Greece’s role as a force of stability and a bridge for cooperation in an increasingly complex global environment, while stressing the enduring importance of Greek shipping as a pillar of national strength and identity.

The event opened with remarks by our General Secretary, Christos Timagenis, followed by a welcome address from our President, Costis Frangoulis.
