Christening Ceremony in Chios 

We are very proud to note that the gathering of Propeller Club delegates and shipping industry stakeholders from all over the world at the 96th Annual Convention and Conference, paved the way not only for robust dialogue on pressing maritime issues and opportunities for business transactions, but also created the special environment which gave birth to the beautiful idea of materializing the wish of Joel Whitehead, the Executive Vice President of the Propeller Club of the United States, to be Christened into the Greek Orthodox faith, in conjunction with the Navigator Shipping Consultants 21st Navigator Forum, at the historical 4th Century Church of Saint Isidoros in Chios. The special ceremony was performed by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Chios, Oinousses and Psara, Markos, with our Governor Dorothea Ioannou, fulfilling the honorable duties of Godmother.
