Visit to the Hellenic Fleet Headquarters at the Salamis Naval Base
On the morning of Tuesday, March 5, the President, Costis Frangoulis, led a delegation of Governors and Members of our Club on a fascinating visit to the Hellenic Fleet Headquarters at the Salamis Naval Base. Our group was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Commander in Chief of the Hellenic Fleet, Rear Admiral Spyridon Lagaras HN.
Accompanied by Lieutenant Commander Andreas Panou HN, the visit began with a presentation of the mission, the scope, the organization and the capabilities of the Fleet Headquarters, as well as its combat units and continued with a guided tour of the AEGEAN Frigate and the Naval Base.
Our visit concluded with a small reception at the Officers’ Club, during which the President was presented with a commemorative crest by Captain Athanasios Konstantelos HN on behalf of the Chief of the Hellenic Navy.
