Cocktail Reception in honor of former President of the Club Mr. Savvas J. Kalafatides

On Thursday, April 23rd, 2009, the International Propeller Club of the United States, International Port of Piraeus together with the American Embassy in Greece, organized a cocktail reception in honor of former President of the Club Mr. Savvas J. Kalafatides at the Yacht Club of Greece in Mikrolimano.

Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, Admiral Thad W. Allen, honored the event by presenting a Distinguished Public Service Award to Mr. Savvas J. Kalafatides in recognition of his exceptional efforts advocating the AMVER Awards, encouraging its strong position in today’s rescue missions.
