Signing Ceremony of the Blue Frontiers summer program

On Wednesday, May 13th, our President, Costis Frangoulis, attended the signing ceremony of the Blue Frontiers summer program, an initiative developed through the cooperation of ACS Athens, Roger Williams University, the Propeller Club, Port of Piraeus, and the Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation.

Welcome remarks were delivered by the President of ACS Athens, Dr. Peggy Pelonis, the President of the Parliament’s Environment Committee, Dr. Dionysia-Theodora Avgerinopoulou, our President, Costis Frangoulis, the Dean of The Institute at ACS Athens, Ms. Carla Tanas, and the Head of Marine Mammal Research at the Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation, Ms. Beatriz Tintoré.

In a theater full of young students, their remarks highlighted the importance of education, marine conservation, and international collaboration in empowering the next generation of ocean leaders.

Through Our Ocean Conference Pledge, our Club has committed €100,000 to support the Blue Frontiers summer program, which proudly reflects the Propeller Club’s ongoing commitment to environmental awareness and educational opportunities for students, building on our Club’s broader initiatives supporting cleaner seas and the next generation.
